Competition Terms and Conditions

These terms apply only to our 'Name our Wine Competition'.


1. Introduction

1.1 These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern the competition ("Competition") organised by Ryedale Vineyards ("Organiser").

1.2 By entering the Competition, entrants ("You") agree to be bound by these Terms. The Organiser reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.


2. Eligibility

2.1 The Competition is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.

2.2 Employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of the Organiser, and their immediate family members and household members, are not eligible to enter the Competition.


3. Entry Period

3.1 The Competition entry period starts on Friday 24th May 2024 at 10:00 and ends on Monday 27th June 2024 at 5pm  ("Entry Period").


4. How to Enter

4.1 To enter the Competition, You must comment on our Facebook post announcing the competition, comment on our Instagram post announcing the competition or visit us in person at Ryedale Vineyards to place your Entry during the Entry Period.


5. Winner Selection and Notification

5.1 Winners will be selected by Ryedale Vineyards on or around Friday 31st May.

5.2 Winners will be notified by a direct message if they have placed their entry via our Social Media channels or by a contact detail left if entering in person within 3 days of the selection.


6. Prizes

6.1 The prize for the Competition is 6 bottles ("Case") of the Unnamed English Sparkling Wine.

6.2 The Case will be given when wine has been labelled and is available to the general public. We anticipate this to be in June but we will contact the winner when their Case is available.

6.3 Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be offered.

6.4 The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond the Organiser’s control make it necessary to do so.


7. Publicity

7.1 By entering the Competition, You agree to participate in any publicity related to the Competition. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of Your name, photograph, and any content submitted as part of Your entry in promotional materials.


8. Personal Data

8.1 Any personal data relating to You will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without Your prior consent.

8.2 The personal data provided will be used to administer the Competition and to contact the winners.


9. Liability

9.1 The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, or disappointment incurred or suffered by You as a result of entering the Competition or accepting any prize.

9.2 The Organiser further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to Your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition.


10. Governing Law

10.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

10.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these Terms.


11. General

11.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

11.2 The Organiser’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

11.3 The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these Terms without notice. Any changes to the Competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Organiser.
