Bed and breakfast is provided on selected weekends in the vineyard farmhouse where it is possible to stay after enjoying one of our tours and tastings. Set on south facing slopes at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, our setting is rural and peaceful yet only seven miles from the market town of Malton with regular food markets and food festivals which are hugely successful, lively and fun and well worth a visit. Castle Howard is nearby, as is the North York Moors Railway. We are also a short drive from York, great for shopping, visiting and the races.
Explore the vineyards and sleep soundly under a down quilt. Both bedrooms have plentiful hospitality trays, television and radio. Breakfast can be brought to your room in the morning, a hot breakfast bap or porridge in the cooler months, or a full Yorkshire breakfast served in the farmhouse dining room. Help yourself to a bottle of wine from our honesty bar and relax without needing to drive anywhere. We are perfectly placed to explore the moors and coast, and a welcome stop for cyclists and walkers. We have two very good pubs nearby and as Malton is the ‘Food Capital’ of North Yorkshire there are lots of great places to eat.
Our beautifully appointed 'Fox' room is set in the eaves of the 500 year old cruck beamed farmhouse. It has a separate shower room and small fridge. Our very comfortable 'Pheasant' room is a double room, with amazing views over the Wolds and a small en-suite shower in the bedroom.
We have linen bedding and have sourced local furnishings and accessories for each room.
The Pheasant room is £140 per night and the Fox room is £190 per night, per room.
Tours & Tastings can be added on at £22 per person on the booking page too, Fridays and Saturdays only. Tours are held on the day of arrival. If you have a tour voucher please do not add this as an extra but contact us once your booking has been completed.
Please note our building is very old, we have narrow staircases and very low ceilings and beams which may not suit people with mobility problems. The Fox room is up two flights of stairs. Due to livestock, we cannot accommodate pets, please note that our border collies also live in our home.
If you have any concerns about accessibility please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
